What we did
This small terrace house needed to be extended to provide room for a young family to live and grow, to provide a connection to the garden and to make the most of the favourable orientation. Number 8 Studio designed a two storey extension that retained and enhanced the ‘feel’ and character of the house while adding significantly to the interior space.

Planning Permission was sought and obtained, and the design was comprehensively documented so it could be priced and built with a clear understanding of the details, resulting in a special home tailored to suit the owners while being adaptable to their needs over time.

Maximising the space
New views and connections through the house were created to make the most of the site and to bring sunlight into the house throughout the day, using a boldly angled wall to the garden to maximize these effects and form a striking yet effective composition.
